The typography trend has been growing over the last couple of years – letters of the alphabet used on ceramics, quotes and slogans used on soft furnishings and art, the ideas are endless. A once popular skill making a comeback is calligraphy: the art of of producing decorative handwriting with a pen or brush. If you have ever thought you wanted to give it a go then why not sign up for a class at Liberty department store in London.
During their Brush Lettering class you will be introduced to contemporary brush lettering, and then guided through the techniques of brush strokes and creating shapes and letters. By the end of the workshop you’ll be well on your way to developing your own brush lettering style.

£60 [ class cost includes a kit of calligraphy materials to use in class and to take home with you ]
