IKEA have done it again and created a collection with an unlikely designer, giving us something very unexpected but also very appealing.

The Spanst collection is made up of 32 pieces created with fashion designer Chris Stamp ( creative director of clothing brand Stampd ) and product designer Maja Ganszyniec. The varied range includes an armchair, shelving units, cushions, waterbottle, skateboard, shoe boxes, LED lights and much more.

With a black, grey and white colour pallete this collection is minimal and well thought out, with practical pieces with a very urban, streetwear edge.

We love how IKEA are mixing it up with clothing and homeware and bringing in designers to showcase their ideas. Launching in May this limited edition collection won’t hang around for long.

2018 sees peach as the new colour to love. Peach is the ‘new’ blush – becoming a colour favoured as a great highlight in dark grey or black, or minimal white interiors.

It’s great as a highlight, but create a beautiful look with blending shades of the hue across a room, keep it minimal with no pattern but let the colour do the talking.

Following the trend of macrame wall hangings last year as well as the ever popular typography in art, we are now seeing the two combined with hanging banners with quotes.

Perfect for a kids bedroom, or kitchen why not create your own banner with a personalised message. Hang on a wall with a mixture of prints and photos and it her wall decor for an eclectic look.

Many high streets across the UK have the popular Primark store as one of the main features. With its uber low prices it’s hard often to resist a quick look round to grab an on trend bargain and this extends to the home ware department. It’s not (yet) online for shopping but you can browse and favourite products online.

Their homeware department offers great accessories, soft furnishings, candles and more at very low prices – starting at £1 or £2 for items. There’s lots of trends covered including concrete, rose gold, wire, bold florals, typography and moroccan.

We have a lot of love for chairs and this armchair from West Elm is certainly one to shout about. The design and colour is ticking all the boxes for Midcentury lovers. It has a modern twist with its curved legs rather than a familiar swivel base.

The plywood frame finished in dark walnut and a soft leather seat makes this the perfect lounge chair to get cosy in with a book.
