Another long established brand, British Home Stores [ BHS ] which already disappeared from our high street, is now sadly also disappearing from online too.
The brand had decided to maintain an online presence with their clothing, homeware and infamous lighting, but now, after not long at all,they are pulling the plug on that too.
Just another all to familiar sign of the British retail industry losing pace and saying goodbye to another long standing retailer.
Head over to their website now and explore their closing down sale. It’s a good time to get some great bargain homewares at up to 50% off.
home: found this [ lighting ]
Love the strong design of this BHS Hol Pendant Light with its linear structure and bold black and white colouring.
Available now from BHS at the reduced price of £108 as part of their closing down sale.
It seems high street favourite that closed down from physical stores is now also closing online.
home: made [ concrete ]
One of our favourite diy sites, Brit + Co, has another amazing project to try. With concrete being so stylish and on trend, we absolutely love this straight forward tutorial to make cool, concrete lighting. Perfect for an industrial or minimalist interior, these shades follow a reasonably easy process to make, with equipment and materials all available at your local high street hardware store.

Head to John Lewis for a new look for the home. If you love bright colours, we’ve collated our favourite current pieces currently in-store and online.
A colourful look is great with a retro twist. Stick with hues that are similar shades of a few bright colours, with turquoise, burnt orange and red for a midcentury twist. Keep sofas, armchairs or other main furniture pieces in statement plain bright colours and opt for patterns in home accessories. Look for quirky additions like the John Lewis ‘On Air‘ light box and mix fun patterns like geometric and block printing in curtains, throws and cushions.

They say ;
Really Well Made offers the very finest design-led contemporary furniture and accessories with a Scandinavian influence. We established in 2012 because we felt there were many retailers in the UK representing poorly conceived design products. We envisaged a collection of items that simply work well and transcend passing fashions. With that in mind we constantly search for design products which express a strong, timeless & minimalist aesthetic that will stand the test of time.
