IKEA has always been a company to push design ideas and bring fun into our homes. A new collection designed with fashion stylist Bea Akerlund may just be their boldest yet, where a heavy gothic vibe meets Alice in Wonderland.

Omedelbar is a limited edition collection launching in March and is expected to be a hit. The collection consists of vases, accessories, furniture and soft furnishings in bold black, red and gold.

Look out for top hat and boot vases, a crown bowl, lip shaped cushion and a giant pocket watch wall clock.

We can’t wait to see it in the flesh.

Head to ikea com for the latest.

Everybody loves a little festive lighting. These great STRALA snow flake lights from IKEA are perfect and only £2.50. We love this creative idea to give them an extra feature with baubles and ribbons hung from the wire, to create a modern festive garland.

We love this sleek black unit from Ikea for its simple design and practical use. The FALSTERBO wall unit is made from coated steel and would work really well in a hallway or kitchen. With three shelves, three drawers and hooks along the bottom you can fill it up to the max.

What’s even better is that it’s a really good price of £70, so why not get two!

If you are looking for a well priced bed, either for yourself if on a budget or perhaps a spare room, then look no further than Ikea. We spotted the versatile GJORA bed frame and think it brings a touch of style and romanticism.

With one high bar and one low bar at each end, you can have the bed either way round. Use the bar to dress with fabric or lights, or use as a hanging space for clothing.

The other great thing is that the wood is untreated so you can oil, wax or paint any colour you like.

The new SNOFSA table clock from Ikea is a perfect addition to a bedroom. Not only is it a great style, a nod to Art Deco with a slightly modernised silhouette, but also the clever designers have introduced a silent mechanism so no annoying ticking sound.

In a brass coloured finish, it’s on trend, and just £12.
