There’s something new and exciting from the super cool Mère Soeur – their collaboration with Harlie Brown is a treasure and perfectly timed for Christmas to make the perfect Christmas gift.

The hand made trinket trays come in a choice of three colour ways, making it hard to choose a favourite but they all would make much loved pieces for the home.

They say :

We commissioned this range from Harlie Brown, another mum-run small business on the Kent coast. Each piece is hand built and hand painted by Harlie, no two are the same. There will be variations in glaze and shape.

Everybody has been talking about this new collaboration and it’s finally here. It’s been a while since Habitat has joined forces with a fashion label, but the result is something fresh and fun.

Shimps signature pallette of reds and pinks form the base of this collection, with touches of gold and blue. Playful hand drawn motifs and patterns adorn cushions, rugs and bedding.

Hannah Weiland’s first fashion-meets-interiors collection is finally here. Delving into the archives of her cult London fashion label, Shrimps, she’s translated her iconic designs into a series of must-have textiles and artwork for the home. Fantastical creatures roam. A crowd of faces gather. Venetian jesters carnival until dawn. Yes, it really is as crazy, and amazing, as it sounds.

IKEA have done it again and created a collection with an unlikely designer, giving us something very unexpected but also very appealing.

The Spanst collection is made up of 32 pieces created with fashion designer Chris Stamp ( creative director of clothing brand Stampd ) and product designer Maja Ganszyniec. The varied range includes an armchair, shelving units, cushions, waterbottle, skateboard, shoe boxes, LED lights and much more.

With a black, grey and white colour pallete this collection is minimal and well thought out, with practical pieces with a very urban, streetwear edge.

We love how IKEA are mixing it up with clothing and homeware and bringing in designers to showcase their ideas. Launching in May this limited edition collection won’t hang around for long.

IKEA has always been a company to push design ideas and bring fun into our homes. A new collection designed with fashion stylist Bea Akerlund may just be their boldest yet, where a heavy gothic vibe meets Alice in Wonderland.

Omedelbar is a limited edition collection launching in March and is expected to be a hit. The collection consists of vases, accessories, furniture and soft furnishings in bold black, red and gold.

Look out for top hat and boot vases, a crown bowl, lip shaped cushion and a giant pocket watch wall clock.

We can’t wait to see it in the flesh.

We have been waiting a long time for this collaboration. And if you don’t know about it, here is the lowdown.

Launching in October Swedish giant Ikea has joined forces with Danish brand Hay to create the new Ypperlig collection. Featuring furniture, vases, throws and accessories the Ypperlig collection has been designed to ‘challenge people’s perception of Ikea quality and design’

New redesign of Ikea Frakta bag

Hay has also taken on the challenge of redesigning the iconic blue & yellow Frakta bag. The size & shape has remained, with new colours including the green & white version pictured. Hay wanted to turn the bag into a ‘design object’ that customers appreciate.

We love the simplicity and muted colours of the collection, with strong design that will fit into any room. As Ikea says ‘a contemporary yet ageless collection’

Keep an eye out in store and online during October / ikea.com
