The new Tom Howley showroom in Royal Tunbridge Wells is the setting for this special event where Country Homes & Interiors will welcome guests before Design Director Tom Howley shares over 30 years of expertise on what makes the perfect kitchen.

The day will also include the chance to ask questions, learn more about Tom’s top design tips and you will enjoy a live cooking demonstration and lunch from a guest chef.

Tickets cost £25 including coffee, lunch (with wine) cooked in the showroom and complimentary gift bag.

Head to The Geffrye Museum for this great insight to the room that is far from interior design and most likely very different to the rest if your designed and styled home, but quite possibly a design inspiration and full of powerful ideas and styling. 

Running til June at The Geffrye Museum the Teenage Bedroom exhibition is a fun, must-see. 

‘A rare glimpse into the often secret, out-of-bounds world of the teenage bedroom. Guest curator Carey Newson and photographer Kyna Gourley documented the bedrooms of 26 London teenagers revealing how identity, memory and friendship are expressed within these eclectic private spaces and highlighting the contradictions of a room that is both within the family home and a space apart.

Carey Newson is an ESRC-funded doctoral researcher from the Centre for Studies of Home – a partnership between the Geffrye and Queen Mary, University of London. The project is supported by the Centre for Public Engagement, Queen Mary, University of London.’

To bring interest and a bit of a unique edge to your interiors, it’s great to browse antique fairs and vintage markets for furniture, ceramics, lighting and accessories. 

With over 300 stalls under one roof the Alexandra Palace Antiques and Vintage fair attracts people from across London and the surrounding area because of its wealth of choice and quality in shopping. 

With Pop Up Vintage Fairs also now being a part of the event there’s even more stall holders offering midcentury, retro and vintage goods – so on-trend and what’s better than modern copies – the originals! 


The next event is Sunday February 12th and then three more times spread across the year. Parking is free and entry is £6 but there’s often ways to get 2-for-1 entry, especially if you follow Pop Up Vintage Fairs on Facebook.

Now in its ninth year Beazley Designs of the Year exhibition and awards brings a cross-section of contemporary design from six categories: Architectire, Digital, Fashion, Graphics, Product and Transport. The 70 shortlisted nominees are exhibiting at The Design Museum for public viewing.
