Amongst the vast amount of great products that Rigby + Mac have, their vase and planter range is superb.

We love these great cactus vases, totally on trend and an incredible nice price from where we’ve seen similar else where.

Cluster in a group and set off on a crisp white background.

Rigby + Mac / small £19.95 or large £39.95

New kids on the block Resident have come a long way in such a short time. This modern lifestyle store started out only last year with a pop up store at PopBrixton. The huge success of the brand then lead co founders James Borley and Greg Avis to find a more permanent premises for their expanding ideas. Resident now sits on Catherine Hill in the picturesque Frome, Bath.

Resident houses ‘a curated selection of homewares, accessories and grooming products from a diverse range of designers and makers from both here in the UK and overseas’.

Filled with gorgeous items you don’t see in other stores, with our favourites including the ceramics and baskets Resident has created a stripped back decor allowing the products to stand out on their own. The simple black and white interior mixed with woodchip has followed them from their pop up days and it really works, giving the customer a no clutter experience. The guys have plans to double the shop in size towards the end of the year making for what will be a stunning shopping space. We can’t wait to see it.

If you are in the area be sure to pop in and say hi and take a look around. With a popular monthly market in Frome there is plenty to do and see. Alternatively head to residentstore.co.uk to see the online collection.

Every room in a home is a great opportunity to show style, personality and trends in the decor and design – even the children’s room!

Update their room from the choice of great Albany kids range of wallpaper at WallpaperDirect. There’s a broad range of fun, flowers, colour and animals but our favourite cool picks are the Dotty Dinosaurs (especially in grey!), Alphabet Animals with gorgeous simple illustrations, Stars also in ‘on-trend’ grey and finally Sharks as they are always the popular amphibians!

Compliment with cushions, plushies and soft furnishings in similar colours to create a fun, stimulating interior.

A very simple way to freshen up a room and bring a new feel to a space is by using soft furnishings, especially cushions. This can also be an inexpensive way of updating a sofa or chair by changing existing covers. This Summer the big trend is graphic print, and statement imagery. A good place to start is hm.com which has some gorgeous digital and geometric cushions cover from only £3.99. The colour pallete is quite muted with blues, greens and grey. One or two of these designs mixed with some plain cushions works really well. Be more adventurous by clashing geometric with strong imagery like the camera design cushion from violetandpercy.com.

Have some fun when picking cushions, pick one or two illustrated or cartoon options for individual chairs. For a cohesive look in a room try and match colours tonally with the the rest of the room. Maybe pick out a colour you have on a wall or with a rug you already have. Alternatively mix up the colours and prints and go wild.
