There are a plethora of Christmas fairs across the capital (and country) throughout the lead up to the big day but we loved the look of the Kindred DesignerMaker Fair on Portabello.

‘Kindred Studios & friends are launching their first ever Portobello Market Christmas Fair, showcasing over 45 emerging artists and artisans ready to take over Tavistock square on the North end of Portobello Road.

A wide range of unique, handmade and affordable gifts will be on sale- all made locally. ‘

West Elm champion small brands and supporting them with pop ups and workshops held regularly at their central London store on Tottenham Court Road store. 

This November there is a collection of workshops and brands brought together by the fabulous 91 magazine. This pop up collaboration, inspired by the A/W issue of the magazine, unites lovely brands and makers in a four day event combining selling, talks and workshops. 

The four day pop up event includes learning how to make a wall hanging, basic weaving, produce clay decorations and talks include learning all about bringing hygge in your home.

We are very excited about the NIKKI TIBBLES WILD AT HEART wreath making workshop at Libertys, London, where you can learn and make an incredible 12” floral wreath plus have some nibbles and a drop of prosecco to accompany your wreath making fun.

It’s one of our favourite London museums and it’s now on the move to a new home. The Design Museum is moving from Shad Thames to a brand new development in a grade II listed building in Kensington. Opening on 24th November the new space will continue to showcase new talent, exhibitions and special events and of course a great shop [ make that 2 shops ].

Learn about working with colour and fabrics in your home, how not to be scared of using colour and lots of helpful advice and guidance on mixing colours to create an interior you love. You will come away with your own personal colour and fabric palette to set about implementing in your home and be confident you know how to choose colours that work together. 

This workshop will be run by Christine Tse, a New York and London based interior designer with a wealth of experience and styling knowledge.

With three events a year The Decorative Antiques & Textiles Fair is a must if you are a fan of art, accessories and furniture of the 20th century.

Based in Battersea this family-owned fair launched in 1985 where the exibititors are encouraged to display their items in a room-set fashion, giving inspiration and ideas for how to design your room.
