We love discovering gems on our own doorstep and love to shout about independent businesses – Prick London ticks both boxes.

They may be fully sold out right now (except for books!) but it’s testament to the great product. Keep an eye on the site for new stock coming and you can fill your home with beautiful cacti and succulents.

Due to current circumstances their Hackney store is closed but the website is open and hopefully soon stocked with gorgeous greenery!

With Spring in the air it’s time to think about outdoor living, planting and gardens. It’s great to make personal touches within your space with your own design creations on plant pots. This can allow them to match a colour theme, follow a trend, label what’s in the pot or personalise them as a gift!

We love the design idea from Homedit with its modern geometric look and metallic colours.

For a plethora of ideas head to BalconyGardenWeb or have a look on Pinterest

All you’ll need is paint and, if it’s not outdoor paint then a good fixer spray or varnish will ensure it lasts and holds up to the weather. You can get plain pots from garden centres, IKEA, or try online at Hobby Craft or Baker Ross for great prices.
