We are seeing a lot of feature walls in homes that are incorporating wood paneling and battening.

Using strips if wood on your wall allows you to create geometric shapes and brings interest to an otherwise flat wall.

Keep it traditional, or try something modern like this tutorial from lovecreatecelebrate.com. Painting everything one colour also adds extra style.

With some basics tools and materials you too can make your own wood accent wall.

We have seen quite a lot of fluted circular tables over the last year, along with DIY versions and we love them.

This tutorial we found uses pine moulding and a birch wood top. A really lovely natural finish with no need to paint.

We found this tutorial on hunker.com and it’s really simple to follow. Give it a go!

home: made [ diy resin coasters ]

Head to our favourite A Beautiful Mess blog for another great home diy project. Today our pick is a tutorial to make alcohol ink patterned resin coasters.

It’s a great easy project with wonderful unique results. The materials are easy to get hold of and it would be a simple effective way to produce lots of great little gifts (for teachers gifts, stocking fillers, house warming presents) or to create something unique for your own home.

Colours can be adapted according to taste and style. We love the idea of using a metallic ink like this gold one from Jackson’s , but plenty of internet based stores offer a variety of colours and pack sizes. You will also need an Epoxy Resin and Hardener Kit, gloves and a resin coaster mould.
