home: made [ outdoor rugs ]
There’s a whiff of Spring in the air, if you aren’t still trudging over snow, so it’s definitely a good time for projects that create great pieces for the garden. Anything to help make that perfect outdoor living area to enjoy in the warmer months.
We found two great outdoor rug DIYs from two of our favourite creative maker blogs – A Beautiful Mess and Apartmenttherapy .
The first from ABM is a great, fun project, weaving your own rug from scrap fabric and finishing with a protective spray.
The second from ApartmentTherapy is a stylish idea to make an outdoor rug with waterproof fabric and then create a design on it waterproof acrylic paint.
home: found this [ paper pots ]
Over the last couple of years a new trend has taken over when it comes to bringing plants into the home. Among the usual ceramic pots to put them in, baskets and boxes have grown in popularity as well as paper pots. We have spotted these gorgeous versions from Oohh at Room365. Part of their new collection these pots are 100% waterproof, made from recycled paper.
‘Danish in design and inspired by nature and the environment these fairtrade, handmade pots have a truly unique edge to them’
