With just a flat bed sheet, some fabric paint and a little creativity (or head to Pinterest for inspiration) you can make your own unique table cloth – tailor it to your event, theme, colour way or home interior!

Depending on your table size you can buy cheap cotton flat sheets across the high street ( including Dunelm and John Lewis) to use – a great way to get a large ready-hemmed piece of fabric. Alternatively you could visit a fabric store or even try a charity shop for second hand bedding sheets to use. Next pick your colour/s for fabric paint widely available online and craft stores ( Hobbycraft ).

2018 sees the continuation of velvet in homeware and interiors. This fabric that has gone in and out of favour has a new modern approach to use in styling.

Soft to touch, elegant to see and a great texture to add to a room decor. Velvet, or the cheaper velour option, is the perfect fabric to introduce to styling that fits well with other fabrics – silks, cotton, lace… and it is perfect to embrace the jewel colours trend. The fabric suits emeralds, navy, cerise, deep purple, mustard and other rich dark tones.
