The London Artisan presents a unique selection of jewellery, ceramics, glassware, textiles, homewares, illustration and beauty products. This two day selling event is consumer oriented and offers visitors the opportunity to meet the designers and view, buy or commission products

A new exhibition launched this month at The Barbican, London is Modern Couples – Art, Intimacy and the Avant Garde.

It explores the working relationships of couples in art and design. Those that were long lasting and others that were just fleeting. This exhibition explores how love and emotion is transfered from the personal to the working relationship.

Including Dora Maar & Pablo Picasso; Salvador Dalí & Federico García Lorca; Camille Claudel & Auguste Rodin; Frida Kahlo & Diego Rivera; Emilie Flöge & Gustav Klimt – plus many more.

Annie will be sharing her infectious passion for Interior Design, for Chalk Paint® and for colour – as well as demonstrating the various techniques and styles which can so easily be achieved with her products. Workshop attendees will be using Annie’s brand-new, limited-edition Annie Sloan with Charleston Chalk Paint® colours to transform a wooden keepsake box, and so there will be a focus on the history of Interior Design and Decorative Arts which so influenced Vanessa Bell, Duncan Grant, Roger Fry, et al. Expect to be informed, inspired and amused. Each attendee will take home their painted keepsake box, all the ingredients to complete another painted furniture transformation at home, and a newfound supply of creative confidence!
