Beautiful, simple and affordable. The back story makes us fall in love even more.

Make your dining experience a little more luxury and enjoyable with Butter products – ethical soft tableware made in East London.

They say;

Founded by partners Alex and Ed, Butter exists for a generation who want to make a house a home, but won’t be able to buy their own for years to come. We aim to create homeware that brings a little bit of joy and will follow you wherever you go.

Our story began in lockdown, tired of using and disposing of paper towels at every meal we looked for a sustainable alternative. Our problem was the napkins on the market were either achingly dull or cripplingly expensive. We struck on producing classic table linen that could lift any meal.

We are loving their new wooden tables, lighting and soft furnishings right now. Some great pieces to take you from Winter into Spring, and through to Summer.

Where H&M Home used to be very trend led, much like their clothes, they now tend to go for a more classic, lasting style that will be in your home for longer. This is great when wanting to spend on higher priced items.

A firm favourite of ours, Mini Moderns is the go to store for Mid-Century design and pattern.

With their huge range of in-house designed wallpapers, soft furnishings and accessories Keith & Mark from Mini Moderns have created a stunning range. A collection that takes you back in time, but with a modern twist.

What we love about Mini Moderns is the story behind every pattern. Keith & Mark show passion through their designs and want to share their memories with us.

‘MADE IN THE UK BY NICE PEOPLE. At Mini Moderns we like to produce in the UK whenever possible. All our wallpapers, fabrics, cushions, tea towels and bags are made in the UK by people with whom we’ve developed long-standing relationships. Producing in the UK also helps to keep our carbon footprint down, by minimising the number of journeys a product makes before it gets to you’

With the success of the brand being sold through other outlets and homeware stores the boys have now got their first book published. Mid-Century Modern Living takes us in a journey through pattern and design and shows us how to bring the timeless Mid-Century style into our own homes.

A great brand with a great ethos, be sure to follow on Instagram and check them out at minimoderns.com

We love the mix of vintage and contemporary homeware at HomePlace. All pieces are carefully considered in this beautifully curated range. Both old and new sit along side each other so well.

There’s great pieces to add character and texture to an interior. The homewares would also make great gifts, especially the unique vintage pieces.

They say;

Homeplace was founded on the basis that homes should tell a story about their inhabitants.

And our aim is to provide our customers with an eclectic but carefully considered selection of vintage, mid century, retro and contemporary furniture, lighting and homeware, so they are able to mix styles, eras, colours and textures to create homes that have as much personality as they do.

We source items which we love and which we hope you will do too. We are passionate about great design – contemporary as well as Mid Century but we are also fans of the quirky and the whimsical..and we like nothing better than mixing them all up to create eclectic interiors with heaps of individuality.

The idea of incorporating vintage pieces into the home as a means for a more sustainable way of living is also important to us here at Homeplace – for today’s eco-conscious consumer, there is arguably no more environmentally friendly a way to furnish a home.

However, not everyone has the time to scour flea markets and fairs so Homeplace offers an edited selection of ever-changing eye catching vintage, Mid Century and retro pieces as well as an exciting range of well designed & interesting contemporary items that will happily sit alongside each other in the home.
