Definitely one of the strongest colours for the season. With a neutral yet warm feel, a nod to vintage and perfect as a highlight or accompaniment to many other colours, mustard is a great tone to introduce to an interior.

Mustard works well with olive, teak or walnut wood tones. It is a stand out tone to use in a mostly neutral and white interiors. We love it with other colours of the season – rust orange and olive green.

Sometimes you find some unexpected homeware delights when you thought you’d just gone out for milk and bread.

Having a look at ‘new in’ at George at Asda we find some gorgeous honewares for easy updates in the home.

Key areas we love are all the towel patterns, including great retro designs, terrazzo print and geometric; and an extensive cushion range which could be used to create a colourful outdoor loving area!

Our favourite find though is the beautiful cool design of the KitSound Diggit outdoor speaker ! Useful and eye pleasing – a great addition to your outdoor living space. Just £28.

What a thing of beauty!

We found this incredible structured armchair, new in from Audenza. It’s an investment at £725 but worth for the statement it would make in room.

A reading chair, a lounge chair, even a desk chair – this beauty is in olive velvet cotton and polyester mix with gold polished steel frame.

As her tag line says ‘inspiring your creativity’, she definitely does.

Medina Grillo, of Grillo Designs, is a creative and talented lady. Her blog is full of exciting interiors and homeware DIYs, craft projects and more. Explore her blog and instagram for an abundance of inspiration (and witty intelligent chat!)

We picked this up-cycling of a small vintage unit as one of our favourite projects, which she did to show the versatility of working with second hand furniture (this piece sourced from a charity she was working with to promote buying second hand!) Just one of the many exciting projects that fill her cool home; inspiring people to make more of the homes even if they are renting but still want to make design statements within their four walls – inspirational, budget friendly ideas.

And if you’re a fan of a great Ikea hack her blog is the place to go!
