‘Join us for a wonderful evening of brush lettering with Shoshana of Shoshy Cadoodle. Gently learn the techniques to create natural, flowing letters with Shoshy’s help and guidance. You’ll try different drills to get the hand of the letters and brush, with lots of top tips on how to make your words look nicer. Create your own phrases, or use some of Shoshy’s lovely examples to guide you. When you’re happy with the end result, you’ve got the option to turn one of your pieces into a framed piece of art for your home’

We must congratulate the folks at CheapShot for succeeding with their crowd funding to launch their creative (and wittily sarcastic) new print brand. Their prints (and cards) are on the surface a pretty mix of flora and typography with a meaningful quote but look a little closer and realise the amusing full design of the prints with their witty undertone cleverly and discreetly written behind the main quote.

It’s genius, well priced and perfect to adorn your walls.

This workshop is not as scary as it sounds. Learn the safe techniques of acid etching onto glass creating a unique piece for your home or a gift. You will have the opportunity to practise on sheets of glass and then move onto a bottle, tumblers or perfume bottle.

Pick from templates provided, create your own design or use a font template to make words.

We have all seen appliqué used on soft furnishings but quite often we see examples using florals or animals which can tend to look dated. To bring the appliqué technique up to date how about using typography. Personalise a cushion with an initial or make a statement with a slogan or phrase.

First impressions are important and so is the entrance to your home. Doormats are usually an essential item which until recent years were pretty boring. Now stores are doing fun slogan and more colourful versions. But instead of having something others may have, why don’t you design your own.
