We must congratulate the folks at CheapShot for succeeding with their crowd funding to launch their creative (and wittily sarcastic) new print brand. Their prints (and cards) are on the surface a pretty mix of flora and typography with a meaningful quote but look a little closer and realise the amusing full design of the prints with their witty undertone cleverly and discreetly written behind the main quote.

It’s genius, well priced and perfect to adorn your walls.

It is always exciting when a new brand hits the high street, intrigued to see how they are going to stand out from the rest. Well ARKET is the name, and it already has a good head start, coming from the H&M family.

With H&M Home doing so well at the moment with well designed, well made pieces at great prices its the perfect time to introduce the new brand.

Regent St store

The online range is well put together, if a little limited. You will though find some gorgeous items from kitchenware to vases to soft furnishings. Our advice is to head to the flagship store on Regent St, London. Here you will get the full ARKET experience. A stripped back, simple collection which is sustainable, durable and timeless.

‘A modern-day market that offers essential products for men, women, children and the home, ARKET stores also include a café based on the New Nordic Food Manifesto. ARKET’s mission is to democratise quality through widely accessible, well-made, durable products, designed to be used and loved for a long time’

New favourite brand to the home interiors market is the cool Scandi-monochrome-minimally styled Go Aesthetic with their small well curated range of tableware, soft furnishings and home accessories.

‘…UK based online store focusing on great contemporary design and style. We stock a whole selection of independent designers, including Fine Little Day, Ester & Erik, Buddy & Bear, Coco Lapine, and many more.’

Monochrome fans will be well provided for with the variety of black and white patterned and grey tone items. Every trend box is ticked with designs in marble, patterns of geometric, repeat print and the hand-painted look, plus gorgeous prints of the natural world and storage solutions for kids and adults.

Definitely a new brand to keep an eye on and they already have a great little sale section to grab some of their great homewares at reduced prices!
