This season we have started to see more decoration and pattern on furniture and accessories. Side cabinets, consoles and coffee tables have inlaid tiles and wood with decorative patterns and colours.

A brand where you can see a lot of this is anthropologie.com with gorgeous designs and colours.

We are also seeing decoration on ceramics like vases and bowls. They become textural and tactile.

Wood is clearly a big choice for all, with a lot of mixed materials being used on furniture. Parquet finishes and carved wood feature heavily. This carved look also translates to bed headboards and room dividers.

We love these little alternatives to a standard pot for a cactus or succulent. The simple balsa wood boxes are a great way of hiding the standard ugly plastic pots and you can make it to fit any size.

Paint or draw on any design you like, we love the scalloped print, made using a cut potato!
