Launching this Spring HAY has join forces with COS for a second time after their successful collaboration last year.
COS has been using HAY furniture for many years in their stores, so it seems very fitting that the two Scandinavian brands have come together.

image

The clean lines, soft colour palette and durability of HAY products mirrors that of COS and they compliment each other seamlessly.
The collection itself is made up of accessories, stationary and furniture in shades of green, blue and pink all hand picked by the COS team from the new HAY collection.

Last Autumn the two brands worked with Spanish designer Tomas Alonso  to create a folding table to be sold in COS stores. The success has lead to a continued partnership, and who knows what great things are next.

Available in COS – High St Kennsingtion and online at cosstores.com

[ HAY is available in some of the big department stores in London and around the country, as well as their stand alone store in Bath, plus you can hunt it out through online shops. ]

West Elm continue to support and give opportunities for new designers, and up and coming brands to get a platform to raise their profile. Here again they have cool, unique brand Refunk’d popping up shop in April at their Tottenham Court Road, London store.

Running from 15-17th of April, head to West Elm and shop the one-off pieces of furniture and homeware.

Opening hours 10am – 5pm / 209 Tottenham Court Road W1T 7PN

” Set up in 2010 Refunk’d by Ursh Stevens in order to create one off pieces of awesomeness from preloved furniture & scrap yard finds.

From glamorous air hostess came the skip rat, salvage specialist, award winning furniture designer Ursh Stevens the owner of Refunk’d. Using scrap yard finds Ursh creates one of pieces that are far removed from the identikit furniture found on the high street. ”

home: made [ peg boards ]

You have probably noticed in recent years, peg boards have been seen more in the home than the tool shed. And this is due to their versatility and quirky style. The simple design and functionality of equally spaced holes in a large panel of wood with accompanying pegs is genius.
Most commonly they are used as notice boards for hanging items and photos, and of course still used for tools and utensils in workshops. But have you thought about what else can be created with peg boards?!

We have found some great uses including multi functional picture and shelving walls, doors for cabinets and even kitchen splashbacks.
Check out apartmenttherapy.com for a cabinet revamp, craftandcreativity.com show us how to paint a cool cross-stitch image and decor8blog.com has some brilliant ideas to get you thinking.

If your inspired then head to amazon or ebay to pick up a basic peg board. London Graphic Centre also do some fun coloured boards, great to get started with. [ Look around to find a good price as some can be quite expensive ]
