Gentle soft palette, bringing the outdoors in and layering botanical patterns but breaking up with stretches of plain pale colours to stop it becoming too busy.

Use light mustards, greens, mauves and white together with botanical pale prints.

This look is calming and beautiful for a bedroom or lounge.

Add to this look with mango wood, rattan or white painted wood furniture. It’s a great idea to search eBay or furniture charity shops for pieces to suit the look, but Urban Outfitters, La Redoute and Maison Du Monde all have vintage style rattan and wood options.

Available across the high street and quite a timeless trend.

Ever heard of Jesmonite? Us neither til we got educated by the London Craft Club. A great material used in one of the latest workshops.

The London Craft Club run brilliant creative crafty workshops using all sorts of materials, skills and methods. Learn a new technique and enjoy getting creative!

When the words ‘concrete’, ‘marbling’ and ‘terrazzo’ are used in a description of a material – we’re sold on it!

Pick from a few dates on offer to take part in a workshop, where you will design and make a little trinket box in the super material Jesmonite.

They say;

Get ready to meet your new favourite material, Jesmonite. What is Jesmonite I hear you ask? Well it’s a cross between concrete and resin, that can be coloured and used to create awesome effects like terrazzo and marbling. Intrigued? Then read on…

In this introduction to working with Jesmonite you will learn all about this amazing material from our expert Haidee. She will discuss different applications for Jesmonite, and tell you about the different effects you can achieve. Then you’ll make a mould for your trinket dish – choose from a triangle, diamond, or hexagonal shape for your final piece.

Haidee will then show you how to mix your Jesmonite, how to colour it, and you will be able to cast your very own geometric trinket dish! It’s such an amazing material to work with, we know you are going to want to go home and make more pieces for everyone you know! You’ll leave with a finished Jesmonite trinket dish, plus all the knowledge and skills needed to make lots more.

Across the high street homeware stores, and online, there’s a huge amount of homewares inspired by Native American tribal patterns.

The colours are strong but not too bright and these homewares sit well in a predominantly neutral tone interior. Cream or white walls and floors, lots of natural wood and then texture and pattern from all the gorgeous rugs, throws and wall hangings. It’s a truly ‘traveller’ and earthy trend that creates warm, timeless style and feel to a room, and can be added to with trinkets and paraphernalia from travels.
