This trend is all about being a maxamilist and being brave on your choices. Mix florals with stripes, bright pink with green, leopard print and yellow.

If you don’t want to go for this look in the whole room then why not try throwing lots of colour on a picture wall or maybe find a corner you can experiment in with ab armchair and soft furnishings.

With an increased interest in handmade home accessories, this season we are seeing a lot more of this look in ceramics. Of course we know that some will not be handmade, but we are able to get the look, with uneven edges, organic shapes and engraving.

We are seeing subtle textures embossed onto vases and pots, engraved lines and even rattan decorated.

Colours are very nuetral, with stone, white, terracotta and black. Mix different styles and colours together for a curated look, and of course get your pops of colour this Spring with flowers and greenery.

The new ‘maritime’ trend has a far softer and subtle feel than nautical trends of the past.

Still with a feel of being in and around the sea coast but through textures, colours, patterns and imprints as opposed to more obvious use of rope, anchors and red, blue and white.

The colours are washed out blues, sandy beiges, dirty whites and with metallic hints to give an edge of boat engines, rusty hand rails and anchor chains and using natural weave in rugs, runners and chair seats; as a nod to sailors rope.

There’s much layering in textures and fabrics, with patterns of stripe, weave and linear illustration alike to shell patterns.

Add in collected nicknacks from travels, clusters of vases and stick to natural fabrics and surfaces – wood, wicker, bamboo, cotton, wool and silk.
