Embracing one of the most beautiful colours of the season, Made have three pieces of new-in statement furniture to introduce shades of pink into your home.

It’s a great colour to sit in a monochrome or pure white interior or together with soft greys. It will also be cohesive with highlight colours, also big this season – copper, bronze, black and green.

This is a trend to expand what may be a naive view that pink is just for little girls or lounges in the eighties.

Modern pink interiors are cool, striking, yet calming, and the range of shades that sit together well and with other colours give ample opportunity to find the right shade to work for you.

Hot pink look clean with white // Pale shades looking subtle against warm woods
Layering up shades of pink is so effective for a rich inviting interior
Choose pinks to suit you. Pink can be introduced in small details, accessories and soft furnishings. Bolder use of the colour can be for walls in paint or wallpaper. The strongest look is combining shades for every element of a room and building the look with textures and patterns.

If pink seems to much to have as the main colouring in interior design then try using it as a highlight colour. It’s a perfect addition to a monochrome room and works beautifully alongside other high light colours including copper, soft grey and beige.

Bring serenity and a beautiful calm to your interiors with blush hues. The pink palette of this trend is a dreamy mix of shades of pink with complimentary colour additions of white, cream and beige. These hues sit well with light woods or white furniture, keeping accessories in copper, a little monochrome and of course pink to a minimal to ensure the interior is minimal and clean.

Create a Spring feel for a lounge or bedroom with this beautiful trend,  covering windows with long billowing pale pink curtains, which could look great layered up with lace nets, scatter cushions in a variety of pale pinks with the odd one with subtle pattern and opt for a couple of pink tones for the walls.

If you thought of flamingo wallpaper, you wouldn’t be blamed for thinking about a fun design that would most likely sit well in children’s room but flamingoes have got all grown up and would suit a wall in any room, with this gorgeous (and on trend) flamingo wallpaper by Albany Maison available from Wallpaper Direct at the incredible price of only £17.99 per roll.

To compliment, other walls and woodwork in the room, could be painted in white or soft greys. Use minimal accessories in white, grey (concrete would look great) or black, plus stylist-favourite, copper, would sit very well against this back drop.
