Held in various pop-up locations around London during November & December.
We must congratulate the folks at CheapShot for succeeding with their crowd funding to launch their creative (and wittily sarcastic) new print brand. Their prints (and cards) are on the surface a pretty mix of flora and typography with a meaningful quote but look a little closer and realise the amusing full design of the prints with their witty undertone cleverly and discreetly written behind the main quote.
It’s genius, well priced and perfect to adorn your walls.

With new colour trends appearing all the time its hard to keep up. Decorating whole rooms to the latest shades is not always an option, so instead it’s a great time to start introducing accessories and accents.
A big colour choice for now, going into next year is Red. Not an easy one to work with, so our advice is to keep it simple. Red is a colour that is going to shout out within a room, so make sure the pieces you choose enhance the space, not clutter it.
A statement clock or cabinet will draw attention in a room, as well as an armchair or sofa. Perhaps opt for a painted wall, a chalky matt finish will tone the effect down and in turn will create a more subtle finish.

A monochrome, white walled room is going to act as the best back drop to red accessories, but an industrial look also looks great with red light fittings or tiles, ideal in a kitchen.
Whatever your thoughts on the colour Red there is no doubting it’s uplifting and fun. We are on board!
Now is the time to start making our living rooms more cosy, with more textures and layers. We have found a tutoral for a felt pouf which looks great and can double up as a seat and table for a tray.
You may need to have some basic sewings skills to attempt this one, but its worth it.
Layer it with a faux sheepskin for ultimate coziness, put your feet up and relax.
If you are looking for a well priced bed, either for yourself if on a budget or perhaps a spare room, then look no further than Ikea. We spotted the versatile GJORA bed frame and think it brings a touch of style and romanticism.
With one high bar and one low bar at each end, you can have the bed either way round. Use the bar to dress with fabric or lights, or use as a hanging space for clothing.
The other great thing is that the wood is untreated so you can oil, wax or paint any colour you like.
The London Transport Museum, known for their incredible homeware ranges and interior styling products, have raised their game with their current moquette fabric (famous from the London tube train seats) sofa which not only comes in all the amazing fabrics from all the various underground tube train lines but also even more patterns – including a truly fabulous leopard print. Custom made to order, one of these investment pieces could be yours for £1964.99.
We don’t often feature kids stores, but thought it was about time we did, especially as one of us has just welcomed a new member to her family.
We came across thismodernlife.co.uk and fell in love. Full of monochrome and pattern, the gorgeous designs of lighting, soft furnishings and accessories will compliment any room.
Launched in 2011 as The Modern Baby by Suzanne & Danny, this online store as grown and evolved as their family has, searching out products that will bring fun and joy to your home.

Although the main museum building and period gardens will be closed, there will still be plenty of reasons to come to the Geffrye. Throughout closure we will run a busy programme of events, activities and installations in our front gardens. The restored almshouse will also be open for tours on certain dates throughout the year.
The current day use for baskets has moved beyond something just to store blankets, logs or washing in. The array of baskets with woven pattern and texture now available means they are more attractive than ever.
We want them on show, in all rooms of the home, on the floor, a shelf, or hung on a wall. Store shoes, toys, magazines, put plants in, whatever the use we have found some great styles at La Redoute this week.
What’s even better is there is currently 40% off everything until Sunday 29th with code: BIG40. So don’t hang about!
Monochrome is as popular as ever with high street stores and designers still loving the simplicity, easy coordination and extensive pattern options to create crisp modern interiors.
Whether you go for an even mix of the tones or go stronger on either black or white, it’s an easy colour palette to work with.
As dark interiors are so on trend we love the look of styling heavily black with highlights of white in framing, fabrics and ceramics. Black walls can make a fantastic backdrop for white accessories to really stand out. Keep the look modern with only occasional pattern and stick mainly to plain black or white in accessories and fabrics. For wall decor choose illustrative prints, linear designs, typography or black and white photography. Head to Desenio, Gayle Mansfield or A Room in my House for prints to suit the look.
