There has been a gradual shift in kitchen design and what we want from it. We require storage solutions for small spaces, and better cabinet and worktop finishes, creating more choice and allow us all to be more creative. As we become more confident with design and layout, we start to be braver with colour. And it’s colour that is popping up in kitchens everywhere, just look at Pinterest!

We love a well designed chair, especially when it comes in various colour options. The Whistler dining chair from John Lewis with its polypropylene shell and upholstered seat pad looks great and gives a nod to old stackable school chairs from the 80s.

Mix and match the colours, or mix with other styles of chair around your dining table. The other bonus is that these chairs are only £99 each!
