Based in Cardiff, Wales, Lisa Valentine with her love of interiors design and home renovations has established Lisa Valentine Home. A store full of beautifully functional and useful homeware.
‘As William Morris said, have nothing in your home unless you know it to be useful or beautiful. We believe it can be both and we hope you love our products as much as we do‘
We love the natural colour pallete throughout, and utilitarian feel of the store. Our favourites include the metal shelving, linen cushions and enamel kitchenware.
Inspired by interiors of the orient, this eastern trend is chic and now with a modernised edge.
Layer up intricate patterns of flowers, birds and illustrations on cushions and other soft furnishings. Keep the colour palette rich but muted tones.

Launched in 1993, Oliver Bonas has become a staple on our high streets. With a range that covers jewellery, fashion and our favourite homeware, accessories and books, OB is continuely changing products and designs to keep itself fresh and appealing.
OB has it’s own statement style and has made full advantage of marble and metallic trends over the last few years. It also has a strong book selection and great gift ideas.
It doesn’t have to be brash or over shiny, it doesn’t have to come across ostentatious or too blingy but this season, gold is the colour to embrace. From the, it seems, permanently on trend, metallics family, gold is a great colour to introduce in small homewares or be bold and embrace layering golds from walls, to floors, to ceramics to soft furnishings. Use either dark tones or soft blush and whites to sit along side.

Another long established brand, British Home Stores [ BHS ] which already disappeared from our high street, is now sadly also disappearing from online too.
The brand had decided to maintain an online presence with their clothing, homeware and infamous lighting, but now, after not long at all, they are pulling the plug on that too.
Just another all to familiar sign of the British retail industry losing pace and saying goodbye to another long standing retailer.
Head over to their website now and explore their closing down sale. It’s a good time to get some great bargain homewares at up to 50% off.
Head to high street supermarket Asda for some unexpected gorgeous finds in their George homeware department. Ticking lots of the current trend boxes and having great quality pieces across all departments.
