Over the last few months we have noticed an increased selection of linen items online and in stores. Particularly bedding where every brand is offering a soft washed linen duvet set or cushion cover.

Linen gives a really soft feel against the skin and is easy to care for, with little worry about ironing – let it be creased!

Soft tones are always a winner, including pinks, greys and creams. Create a neutral pallete mixing tones and layers to give your bed the most welcoming feel.

Its time to embrace embellishments with this gorgeous 2018 trend; and shop for anything with tassels, tufting, fringes and feathers.

The bohemian influences are strong for this look, layering, natural colours, textures upon textures, but it can also work with a clean, minimal look – using white homewares but with embellishments for texture, ensuring everything is in natural creams and whites.

Shops across the high street have a big range to create this look. It’s also worth having a search around vintage markets, eBay and searching for international sellers.

Growing in popularity on curtains, cushions, chairs and blankets, boucle is the fabric of choice this season. The intricate woven pattern can be found more and more on homeware, creating a very tactile and comforting finish.

Combine with a nuetral colour pallete allowing the texture to take centre stage. Mix with other soft fabrics like throws and cushions for a cosy autumnal feel.
